[ARCHIVED] Tree lighting & Artisan Fair December 2nd

2023 Holiday

Join us in ushering in the holiday spirit at the Town of Bedford's Annual Tree Lighting and Winter Walkabout on Saturday, December 2, 2023!  Here's a glimpse of the festive fun awaiting you:

Tree Lighting Ceremony, 5:00 p.m.: Citizen of the Year Angelo Colao will lead the countdown to illuminate Bedford Common with holiday magic. Look out for a special visitor from the North Pole arriving with treats and wishes for a joyous season!

Holiday Artisans Fair, 2:00-6:00 p.m.: Explore original creations by over two dozen local artists and craftspeople inside First Parish Church. Live music will fill the air, making it a perfect opportunity to find unique holiday gifts.

Children's Fair, 2:00-4:00 p.m.: Downstairs at First Parish, children can select and wrap free gifts, enjoy art activities, and even indulge in some warm holiday cheer. Childcare is available.

Holiday Storybook Trail, 2:00-6:00 p.m.: Embark on a literary adventure with the "Snowmen at Night" storybook trail at 14 outdoor locations on Great Road and Mudge Way. Collect free paper bookmarks along the way!

Winter Walkabout, 2:00-6:00 p.m.: Stroll through Bedford Center amidst twinkling lights, and discover a variety of activities, treats, and entertainment. Shop, dine, and celebrate the winter season with us!

Participating Establishments: Enjoy special offerings from local businesses during the Winter Walkabout, including a beer & wine garden, craft projects, warm beverages, and more!

Road Closure: Elm Street between the Great Road and School Way will be closed from 3:00 p.m. until the end of the event. Ample parking is available on the Town Campus.
