Planning Board
The duties of the Planning Board are outlined in M.G.L., C. 40A and 41. The board shall make rules and regulations relating to subdivision control, initiate Zoning Bylaws, hold public hearings on all Zoning Bylaws submitted to the Select Board, from time to time make studies of the resources and needs of the Town, and revise and update the comprehensive plan.

Taxation Aid Committee
The purpose of the committee is to assist in the implementation of M.G.L. Chapter 60, Section 3D, the elderly and disabled taxation fund program, which the Town opted into at the 2021 Annual Town Meeting. This program taxpayers to voluntarily donate an amount of money in conjunction with their municipal tax bills or motor vehicle excise tax bills, toward an elderly and disabled taxation fund for the purpose of defraying the real estate taxes of elderly and disabled persons of low income.

Volunteer Coordinating Committee
The Volunteer Coordinating Committee shall recruit and identify qualified candidates for all appointive offices in the Town, except for appointees who work full or part-time for remuneration and except for appointments to the Volunteer Coordinating Committee.
