The Town's collection Contractor will begin curbside Christmas tree collection on Monday, January 12. The pickup route follows a rolling schedule similar to yard waste collection: one truck will begin on trash day and continue throughout the week until the entire route is complete.
Important Guidelines for Tree Pickup:
All trees must be at the curb by Sunday evening, January 11
Trees larger than 8ft tall must be cut in half for curbside collection.
Trees must be clearly visible and accessible from the curb — not buried in snow
Do not bag your tree
Remove all decorations and tree stands
No wreaths or other yard waste will be collected with the route.
Your cooperation helps ensure efficient collection throughout the town. If your tree was properly placed at the curbside for collection and missed, please use the Recycle Coach tool on the Town website (or download the free mobile app) to report a missed pickup or contact the DPW at 781-275-7605.
As an alternative, residents who wish to dispose of their trees earlier or later than curbside collection allows may do so at the Bedford Recycling Center during operating hours.
