Christmas Schedule Changes at Bedford Recycling Center

Bedford DPW would like to inform the public of upcoming schedule changes at the BRC during the holiday season.

We know the holiday season comes with lots of extra carboard boxes and other recyclables. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the added weekday hours to manage post-holiday recycling. View the hard copy mailer here. 

As a reminder, the site can accommodate unlimited quantities of corrugated cardboard, glass bottles and jars, large pieces of clean, white, Styrofoam and your natural Christmas tree, as well as lots of other materials. The BRC cannot accept wrapping paper, bubble wrap or overflow trash. For a full list of what we accept and what we cannot, please visit the Bedford Recycling Center page on the Town website. 

Extra Hours of Operation:
The Recycling Center will be open for extended service from 8AM-1PM on the following dates:

• Monday, December 22

• Tuesday, December 23

• Monday, December 29

• Tuesday, December 30

• Friday, January 2, 2026

Holiday Closures:
The Center will be closed on the following dates:

• Wednesday, December 24 (Christmas Eve)

• Saturday, December 27

• Wednesday, December 31 (New Year’s Eve

Winter weather disclaimer: If DPW crews are plowing or salting, the site may be closed. Any weather-related closure will be posted on the Town website. 

Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and take advantage of the extended Saturday hours. Residents can sign up for digital reminders, via email, mobile app or synced directly to your digital calendar at www.bedfordma.gov/recycling. Print calendars are also available. We appreciate your cooperation and wish everyone a safe and sustainable holiday season.
