ADULT MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID (MHFA) TRAINING
The Bedford Health Department is offering Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to its residents. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based, early intervention course. Adult MHFA teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions. Please note there are a limited number of spots.
Two-Part Training Format: Virtually and In-Person
Part One: Self-pace online pre-work to be completely prior to the in-person class
Part Two: Two in-person courses

- April 2, 2025 - 5:00PM to 8:00PM
