Annual Open Enrollment for Health, Dental , Vision Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Voluntary Benefits runs from April 1, 2026 - May 1, 2026. 


This is your opportunity to enroll in or make changes to your health, dental, vision insurances, FSA benefit, and voluntary benefits for the upcoming plan year beginning July 1, 2026. If you miss the May 1, 2026 deadline, you will have to wait until next open enrollment to change your benefits, unless you have a qualifying event. To ensure time for processing, please submit your forms/requests by April 27, 2026.

Health Insurance

Want to enroll in or change your health insurance? Enrollments and changes can be made using the MyGIC Link Member Benefits Portal. Watch this video to learn more. If you have any issues with the portal, please contact your Town or School HR representative.

Please note that if you are enrolling dependents, marriage and/or birth certificates must be provided.  More details on required documentation for GIC coverage are available here.

Dental Insurance

The Town offers Delta Dental Insurance for active employees. The Dental plan runs on a calendar year. See the Dental Benefit Summary for details on coverage.

Want to enroll in dental insurance? Complete this Enrollment Form and return it to your HR office by 4/27/2026.

Please note that if you are enrolling dependents, marriage and/or birth certificates must be provided. 

If your dependent is age 19 or older, they may only be covered if they are a full-time student at a qualified college, university or institution. You will need to submit two forms with your enrollment form:

Both forms are required to submit every year before September 1. If forms are not submitted, your dependent's coverage will be automatically terminated.


Vision Insurance

The Town offers vision insurance for active employees through Altus Vision. The plan offers 1 eye exam per year, 1 pair of glasses/contacts per year and discounts on related products/services. See the Benefit Summary for more details.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

(Formerly Cafeteria Plan Advisors)

The Town offers two types of FSAs for active employees: Health Care and Dependent Care. These plans allow you set aside money on a pre-tax basis to put towards eligible medical or dependent care expenses. You may enroll in either plan or both, but note that there is an administrative fee of $60/year if enrolling in the dependent care plan only. The plan year runs from July 1 through June 30. Re-enrollment is required every year. See the FSA flyer for more details.

Health Care: Maximum Annual Health Care Election: $3,400
Eligible expenses include: non-cosmetic medical, dental, and vision care services; prescription and OTC expenses, orthodontics, mental health services; alternative health therapies and MORE!

Dependent Care: Maximum Annual Dependent Care Election: $7,500 per family
Eligible expenses include daycare, pre-school, before/after school care, day camp for children under 13 and elder daycare.

Already in an FSA plan? Re-enroll through your online account portal (not the mobile app) by 5/1/2026.

Want to enroll in an FSA plan? Complete the FSA Enrollment Form and send it to cpaclaims@getebm.com by 5/1/2026.
