Appointment-based Special Events

LOCATION: Bedford Recycling Center (BRC), 108 Carlisle Road

Bedford DPW offers periodic events to help residents to recycle or reuse difficult to manage materials that are not part of our permanent Recycling Center offerings. These events keep valuable materials out of the waste stream and lessen the environmental burden of producing new things.

Events are free for Bedford Residents. Proof of residency or blue resident sticker is required to attend. Bedford residents only – no commercial waste or vehicles. Pick up your free resident sticker at the DPW Building, 314 Great Rd during business hours. Please bring your vehicle registration with you when requesting a sticker. 

An Appointment is required to attend. We expect these events to "sell out" and will not be able to accommodate walk-ins. If your desired signup is full, we encourage you to check the signup page periodically as appointment cancellations may occur. Signups will close 24 hours before a scheduled event.

DPW is often asked how else residents can dispose of electronics if an event if full or the resident prefers not to wait for an event. Staples offers electronics recycling in-store, regardless of where the items were purchased and many items are free to drop off. Check retailer website for more details.
