Financial Assistance

There are a number of resources that offer financial assistance for various needs. These are just some of the resources available but the list is not exhaustive. Please call the COA at 781-275-6825 for more information if you are seeking something more specific.

ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter, Quality of Life Grant

  • Assists Massachusetts families with expenses incurred on or after 2/1/2018 that are not traditionally covered by insurance such as private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid (Mass Health), and other assistance programs. It will cover respite, travel costs related to ALS clinics or research, generators, durable medical equipment repairs and personal emergency response systems.

  • Rent and utility assistance

Salvation Army

  • As a verified Outreach Volunteer with the Salvation Army, the COA can offer you some assistance if you are experiencing a financial emergency which includes utlities, food, clothing and occasionally rent, please contact the COA for more information.

  • Can assist with food coupons, rent, utilities, etc. Process involves meeting with 2 people to assess your needs and make a determination of what they can offer.
