The Town offers health and dental insurance through the Group Insurance Commission (GIC). Health insurance begins based on the start date, please refer to the waiting period chart. New hires should submit their enrollment forms to HR within 15 days of their start date to avoid delays. To enroll dependents, marriage and/or birth certificates must be provided. Current employees have an opportunity to make changes to their benefits during open enrollment (annually in April-May) or within 60 days of a qualifying event (such as a marriage, divorce, birth, or loss of other coverage).

The Town offers Delta Dental Insurance for active employees. As a new employee, your dental insurance begins on your first day of employment. You have 30 days from your start date to enroll in dental insurance. The Dental plan runs on a calendar year.
